Position Summary/Objective
The Post-Harvest Process Engineer is responsible for developing and ensuring execution of all functions related to drying/curing, storage, disposition, analytical testing, and data management of bulk flower. The role will be principally responsible for the management of bulk product across our production portfolio and its allocation to final products. This allows for an inventory to be constructed which can be utilized by the Supply Chain team and the Production Operations Managers. This role will be responsible for developing flower products for commercialization according to the production plan.
Responsibilities
Ensure proper training for all personnel and verify activities at each site pertaining to:
Monitoring environment of drying areas and containers
Operation of equipment
Sanitation
Organization of batch specific product
Data management in Seed-to-Sale systems and enterprise specific applications
Qualitative assessment and disposition of bulk material to product categories
Quality Control
Safe handling of chemicals
cGMP and Safety standards
Develop and implement best practices in bulk flower management across the enterprise
Deploy technology and automation to achieve production goals
Verify and maintain all checklists, logs, and documentation pertaining to harvested and dried product
Oversee schedules and preparation of product for 3rd party lab testing
Verify Seed-to-Sale transactions for accuracy
Develop and implement KPI's for evaluating genetic performance of strains
Ensure product is in compliance at all times.
Follow process and progression of product to protect against diversion
Participate in employee performance evaluations as needed
Develop and deploy specifications for flower products
Maintain sanitary conditions that meet SOPs in all post-harvest areas at all times
Updating standard operating procedures
Ensure all green waste is disposed of properlyand recorded accurately
Coordinate release of biomass to Processing Group for extraction
Other duties as designated by Vice President of Production
This role is chiefly responsible for ensuring the flow of material from harvest to downstream processing and that there is no delay in organization, qualitative evaluation, data flow, and regulatory testing. This role will work closely with Post-Harvest & Cultivation Teams to provide feedback and support of ongoing operations.
Primary location is Fairless Hills, PA. Travel to all of our production facilities is required at a regular frequency to evaluate success and coach teams on current best practices. ~10% travel.

Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
QualificationsBachelor's Degree Preferred
Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to lift 55 lb. of material or equipment
Must be able to work on feet for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders safely
Valid Driver's license
Additional Qualifying Experience/education
Knowledge of cannabis post-harvest work flows
Extensive cannabis flower quality experience is required
3-5 years in leadership/management position
Previous experience with Cannabis Seed-to-sale software and MS Office Suite required
CompensationAnnual salary with additional incentive compensation
This position is classified as Exempt and is not entitled to overtime pay.
